Digital x-rays provide an extremely accurate picture of your whole mouth. They make it possible to enlarge specific areas, which can help the dentist better understand your oral health needs.
With digital x-rays, we are able to detect problems earlier, which can prevent issues from getting worse. They can be stored digitally, making them very easy to pull up on a screen and enlarge during your appointment.
Are digital x-rays safe?
Although digital x-rays do produce a low level of radiation, it is substantially lower than in traditional x-rays. Digital x-rays are considered completely safe.
Our team will take every possible precaution during your x-ray, so there's no need to worry!
How often do you need an x-ray?
If you're due for an x-ray, we'll let you know during your appointment. Depending on the condition of your teeth and your oral health needs, you may need an x-ray every six months, or only yearly, or even every couple of years.
