Dental Care for Children

When should children start visiting the dentist?

We recommend that children visit the dentist for the first time either at the first sign of a tooth, or around the time they turn one year old.

After that, we may not need to see them again until their remaining teeth come in (around age three), but an early initial visit will help us diagnose, and subsequently monitor and/or treat, any potential issues.

Sedation: Is it okay for children?
